We are proud to announce that Starflight Dynamics has been awarded a research contract by the German Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) through the Military Technical Center 61 in Manching to develop a new generation of reactive, green orbital propulsion technologies.
The project is titled ReaGAn – Reactive Green Propulsion Technology.

DETAILS & INSIGHTS:
Under ReaGAn, we will conduct feasibility studies, develop test infrastructure, and perform early-stage system evaluations to explore new approaches for operating agile orbital platforms.
The initiative focuses on orbital propulsion systems optimized for speed, endurance, and deployment flexibility – enabling future missions where space-based assets serve not only as passive sensors but as responsive capabilities.
FOR EUROPE IN SPACE:
The technology unlocks new capabilities for the Bundeswehr and its partners: extended endurance and mobility in orbit, rapid and precise satellite deployment, and sustainable, dual-use propulsion solutions for security-relevant missions.
ReaGAn thus directly addresses key needs in space situational awareness, operational responsiveness, and European technological sovereignty in orbit.
"We are grateful to BAAINBw and the Military Technical Center 61for their trust and look forward to close collaboration on this strategically important initiative."
