In early 2025, following the general change of the venture landscape, we made a deliberate decision: Starflight Dynamics concentrated its core efforts on high-mobility orbital systems and sovereign applications. That focus has positioned the company in direct alignment with German and European space strategy — technologically, institutionally, and operationally. This translated into first contracts, and an ongoing engagement.
At the same time, our advanced materials work continued — quietly, rigorously, and in close cooperation with industrial partners. It matured, convinced, and found its constituency, with growing traction in industry and institutions, across Europe and beyond. The selection into ESA’s BSGN accelerator marks the first visible sign of that, with more to come.

Therefore, from today on, our advanced materials work will operate with a dedicated team and operational autonomy under a distinct brand:

While Starflight Dynamics will remain focused on its current core, Levion Materials will advance microgravity-enabled materials technologies, and contributing to its advent. In that, it aligns with the modified priorities in Europe in Space, where larger institutional budgets effectively achieve a stronger autonomy, a larger ambition in orbital sciences, and renewed focus on autonomous space and microgravity activities.
