OUR MISSION
Starflight Dynamics was founded in 2023 with the mission to bring industry to space.
It is our goal to develop and deliver the infrastructure necessary for energy-intensive process industries to thrive in space, and we are providing the key technologies to do so.
Therefore we combine propulsion, platform design, and in-space production into a unique technology stack that supports both defence and commercial missions.
Today, we focus on two core technology areas:

Reactive in-space platforms and systems, built around the company’s proprietary water-based orbital propulsion stack. Designed for high endurance and agility, these systems enable modular, mission-adaptable satellite and payload operations, particularly for robotic, sovereign, and defense-oriented use cases.

High-throughput bulk crystal growth systems, developed for operation in space and beyond. Targeting advanced semiconductor and quantum materials, these platforms enable industrial-yield production of next-generation substrates under zero-gravity conditions.

In microgravity, many of the parasitic effects that affect processes at microscopic levels are neutralized, while the perfect vacuum and precise thermal control enhance production quality. Coupled with the unlimited solar energy available, these conditions allow for levels of precision and efficiency that are physically impossible on Earth.
Recognizing that many process industries naturally belong in space, our goal is to lead the transition from terrestrial to space-based manufacturing.

The advent of large cargo launch vehicles promises to further revolutionize our capabilities, making it both practical and cost-effective to build significant structures in orbit.
