As 2023 draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on all that the past year has brought.
Having been a corporate employee for most of my working life, perhaps one of the biggest changes has been crossing the chasm to become an entrepreneur myself, in the space industry of all things. After toying with the idea for over a decade, and having the opportunity to meet so many people who have given it a serious try, 2023 was the year I took the plunge.
Hello STARFLIGHT DYNAMICS, here we go.
From an empty office and a vague plan, we have come a long way: on our 300 day long journey through the ecosystem, one conversation led to another, sparring partners turned to backers, until we found support, a place to build, and enough interest to keep going.
Today, as we close out the year, a small but growing team is coming together to help us develop the technologies needed to make it happen.
Things are taking shape a little more every day, and rightly so: while there is still so much to achieve, we are off to a good start and making decent progress!
So I wanted to pause for a moment and say thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey! Your faith has allowed us to get things off the ground (metaphorically – for now).
A special thought goes to my co-founder, Nikola Ganchev: You have been instrumental in this journey. Thank you for coming along and being a beacon of practicality: I couldn't have done this without you. I hope for a fantastic 2024 with you by my side.
This year has already made a huge difference and I look forward to the months to come.
